Villa Oleanders Carvoeiro Algarve (Portugal)

You will have exclusive use of this luxurious three-bedroom villa, was built in 1988. We bought it in 2005 and the ability to practice naturism was paramount.

There are two bathrooms. One is ensuite and has a walk-in shower, double wash basins, WC and bidet. The other has a bath with a shower in it, double wash basins, WC and bidet. There is a large lounge, an adjacent dining area and a separate kitchen.

The villa is enjoyable all year round. The spring and summer are what you would expect – warm and sunny with long days. The autumn is often an Indian summer. Christmas gets pretty busy in town. We have even sunbathed on the beach in January. The heated pool allows swimming all year round and this is the centre of attraction. It is 9 x 4.5 metres and is totally private. It is 1 metre deep at the shallow end and 2 metres in the deep end. It also has pool lighting. It is surrounded by a patio area, an outdoor barbecue and patio lights to enhance any evening. There is also an outside shower.

The lounge is comfortable and spacious and has Sky TV and a DVD player. You can also have a log fire in winter. There is a sound system, a small library and some games.

Although you will probably eat in many of the excellent local restaurants, there is a very comfortable indoor dining area should you choose to cook and dine at Oleanders. An alternative is to dine by the swimming pool with its barbecue area. There is also another barbecue area in the outside courtyard leading up to the rooftop.

The spacious, well-equipped kitchen looks out on to the garden. It is equipped with a gas cooker with electric hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, ample utensils and ironing board/iron. Indeed some guests have commented that it is better equipped than what they have at home!

The main ensuite bedroom has a double bed and a safe deposit box built into the wardrobe. Please ensure you leave the key in it on departure. Only a short walk to the pool.

The other two bedrooms share a bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed and the other twin beds. All the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and open out on to the poolside patio, so just get up and go for an early morning dip.

All towels (beach and bathrooms) and bed linen are supplied.

Internet access - the router is on the small desk in the lounge. Login details are on the router.

The drive can accommodate 3 cars (in Indian file) and.

We can assist with car hire or airport transfers if required.

The Kays will be in a safe key by the front door. The combination to the lock will be supplied just before your holiday starts.

Description of how the property is private / secluded: The villa with its pool and patio area are entirely private - a paramount issue the current owners considered when buying it in 2005.
Inside the property: This villa will have everything you need in terms of comfortable beds, kitchen, bathroom and dining facilities. Six people can eat around the dining room table or on the patio by the pool or on the roof with views of the Atlantic Ocean a kilometre away.
Outside the property: The garden has a couple of lemon trees - ideal for a G&T...... the gardener will not disturb you when he is there. The patio/pool area is secluded. You will need to be a pretty early bird to catch the pool man .... he does have a key to access the area from outside.

Cleaning, Linen & Maid service: Paula the maid sorts everything out. She usually calls on Tuesdays and Fridays but this may vary. She is not there to do the washing up. The washing machine is not available to guests as we have had mishaps in the past......
What's nearby: The centre of Carvoeiro is a 15 minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants here to suit all tastes. Indeed there is a decent restaurant right opposite the villa if you do not feel like walking anywhere. There are several. waterparks close by - Slide & Spash in Lagoa, Zoomarine near Guia, boat trips from Carvoeiro and Portimao. The ancient and historic capital of the Algarve is in Silver with its Moorish castle. The Monchique mountains are about an hour away. There are plenty of naturist beaches in the area too and a car is recommended to get the best out of your stay. Adviceabout the beaches freely available from the owners.
Travel / How to get there: Faro airport is 65km away to the east. There is an excellent motorway along most of the length of the Algarve (A22). Driving down from Lisbon or Spoain are other possibilities with decent motorways.
Owner instructions: The maid will ring the doorbell when she arrives between 10 and 11am usually. We cover up when she comes as a matter of courtesy and would expect our guests to do the same. Otherwise you can be naked anywhere all the time. Smoking should be confined to the outside of the villa and disposed of responsibly. Pets need to be discussed before any bookings are made. The villa is not suitable for loud parties and the neighbours need to be respected.
